He had an amazing capacity to love. Who knew, amidst the war and crime on this planet that humans had such a great gift? A man that should have been so full of hate, ready for war, had an amazing seed of joy and incredible passion for life. There was no real challenge to identifying it.
“Come on, they’re never late. Great a spectator, I can’t imagine what I look like sitting up here.”
Identify a warrior’s greatest gift, that was the order, this was not the gift they would be expecting. We will have to talk about a new human suit if they want me to come back, and these shoes…

The more the merrier it seems
interesting story – a sci fi feel
Thanks for the feed back.
Wonderful contrast between demands of war and the gift of love. It would, indeed, be difficult to explain to an alien culture–it’s difficult for many humans to comprehend.
Thank you for this comment. That’s exactly what I was trying to articulate.
The human capacity for war can only be rivaled, and even curbed, by our capacity for love.
Two good comments from vb and Kwadwo that articulate my thoughts on your story as well.

Uncomfortable shoes to go with the human suit is a really nice touch and great way to end this. 😀
Thank you. And thanks for reading. I went through three endings to get to that one.
Loved the first part… really great and a lot of interesting thoughts … Isn’t it as Solzhenitsyn wrote that the border between good and evil goes through the human heart ….
Dear Lewis,
The shoes are always a little tight and uncomfortable, aren’t they? Intriguing story.

Well done.
